Dawn to DustThe sun comes into the old night sky,Dawn to Dust
slow to creep it lights to brighten my eyes.
The night fades from day and the birds, they sing! But man knocks them from perch with swift arrow's sting.
Midday has come my adventure is near,
It began to slip; it passed me by fear!
I advanced to step upon the first stair, but to my dismay nothing is there.
As I reach the afternoon the hours grow hot, the flowers limp wayward and start to rot.
Nothing. The day has escaped me so soon. I pray to see not a ring on the moon.
